A large, well-established international organisation is seeking an accomplished Supply Chain Director to lead and transform its end-to-end supply chain function from its headquarters in Kuwait.
THIS ROLE REQUIRES RELOCATION TO KUWAIT
Operating across a complex, multi-country network, the organisation requires a senior leader capable of developing a resilient, efficient and transparent supply chain supporting a diverse range of programmes and operational requirements.
The Supply Chain Director will provide strategic leadership across procurement, sourcing, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, supplier governance and international distribution. Working closely with senior leadership and regional teams, the successful candidate will establish consistent processes, strengthen controls and ensure resources reach their intended destinations efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the organisation’s overall supply chain and procurement strategy.
- Lead international sourcing, supplier selection, tendering and contract negotiations.
- Oversee logistics, warehousing, inventory, transportation and cross-border distribution.
- Establish robust governance, compliance and supplier-performance frameworks.
- Improve forecasting, procurement planning and visibility across multiple locations.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate expenditure and improve commercial value.
- Develop contingency plans capable of supporting urgent and unpredictable operational requirements.
- Introduce meaningful KPIs, reporting systems and service-level standards.
- Lead, develop and align supply chain teams operating across different countries.
- Partner with finance, operations and senior leadership to support organisational objectives.
Candidate requirements:
- Significant senior leadership experience across supply chain, procurement and logistics.
- Experience managing complex, international or multi-site supply chain operations.
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, contracts, inventory management and international logistics.
- Demonstrable success improving governance, efficiency, cost control and supplier performance.
- Experience working across emerging or operationally challenging markets would be advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder-management and team-leadership capabilities.
- A relevant degree is required; professional supply chain or procurement qualifications would be beneficial.
