We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Merchandising Planner to join a dynamic team at a leading Fashion Retailer. As a Merchandising Planner, you will be responsible for planning, forecasting and allocating merchandise for the stores, ensuring that our customers have access to the best possible product selection.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage merchandise plans by category, store, and channel, ensuring that they align with the company’s overall goals and financial targets.
- Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, and market insights to identify opportunities and risks, and adjust merchandise plans accordingly.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Buying, Allocation, and Operations, to ensure that merchandise is delivered on time, in the right quantities and to the right stores.
- Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team to ensure that products are presented in an appealing way that aligns with our brand standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, sell-through rates, and gross margins to identify and address any issues.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating terms, and resolving any issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Merchandising Planning in a fashion retail environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience working with planning software such as Oracle Retail or JDA.
- Knowledge of current fashion trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
