We are looking for a motivated and experienced Logistics Manager to join the team and play a key role in optimizing their warehouse operations.
As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end logistics and distribution operations of the warehouse. This includes coordinating the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide variety of products. You will ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality standards required, and at the most cost-effective price.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Management: Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including inventory control, order processing, and dispatch of goods.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse staff, ensuring high levels of motivation and productivity.
- Logistics Coordination: Plan and coordinate transportation schedules, delivery routes, and distribution strategies to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene within the warehouse, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Cost Management: Monitor and manage operational costs, finding opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, conducting regular stock audits and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Supplier and Vendor Management: Liaise with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service.
- Data Analysis: Use logistics and operational data to identify trends, make data-driven decisions, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Health & Safety: Ensure that all warehouse activities are conducted in a safe manner, in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in the food distribution or FMCG sector.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management and logistics software systems.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
