We are partnering with a high-growth FMCG business to appoint a Commercial Director to lead its sales agenda across Turkey. This is a pivotal leadership role with full ownership of revenue delivery, channel strategy, and commercial execution in a highly competitive, fast-moving environment.
You will be responsible for building and leading a best-in-class commercial function, driving sustainable growth across modern trade, traditional trade, and key accounts.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, the Commercial Director will define and execute the go-to-market strategy across Turkey, ensuring strong distribution, brand presence, and revenue growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own and deliver the national sales and commercial strategy across all FMCG channels
- Lead, structure, and develop a high-performing sales organisation (field sales, key accounts, distributors)
- Drive top-line growth, margin improvement, and market share expansion
- Build and manage relationships with major retail groups, distributors, and key accounts
- Strengthen presence across modern trade, traditional trade, and wholesale channels
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategy, and promotional planning
- Partner closely with marketing to align on brand strategy, activations, and in-store execution
- Ensure excellence in forecasting, demand planning, and sales performance tracking
- Identify new routes to market and expansion opportunities across Turkey
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a commercially driven FMCG leader with a strong track record in the Turkish market.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Director / Sales Director / Head of Sales within FMCG
- Strong understanding of Turkey’s retail landscape, including modern and traditional trade
- Demonstrated success in delivering consistent revenue and market share growth
- Experience managing national key accounts and distributor networks
- Strong leadership capability with experience building and scaling sales teams
- Highly commercial mindset with strength in negotiation, pricing, and trade investment
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in Turkish and English (essential)
