International retail group currently looking to appoint a skilled Project Manager to join their team in the Middle-East.
The Role –
Initiating and planning a project
·Agree scope and benefits with stakeholders
·Agree impacted areas of Tech / business
·Identify project stakeholders and establish the communication plan and appropriate project governance
·Agree resource / project team requirements
·Establish project roles and responsibilities for successful delivery of the project
·Build and manage a project plan together with the project team
·Establish cost control plan and manage allocated project budget
Executing a project
·Lead the project teams to achieve the agreed project scope (including third party vendors)
·Monitoring and controlling the project plan, budget, dependencies as well as risks and issues
·Manage project quality assurance activities, through the use of demonstrations of deliverables to the end user(s)
·Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project
·Manage resource plan(s), mitigating any potential resource conflicts including third party vendors
·Track project status and communicate status to Platform Lead
Closing a project
·Manage the project team to support the deliverable(s) in Early Life Support / hyper care period
·Obtain final project acceptance from the end user(s)
·Transition project deliverables to BAU
·Conduct lessons learnt session with project team and stakeholders
Requirements –
·Experience of Supply Chain and Technology desirable
·Project Management / Agile / Scrum / Prince Professional Qualification desirable
·Lead in maturing the Agile approach to software development, whilst being flexible working with some vendors who are still more waterfall based in their approach
·Proven experience of delivering software and change projects, or multiple workstreams at the same time
·Experience delivering projects across a set of autonomous development teams
·Ability to understand the wider context of the delivery within the retail environment and ensure that the impact (e.g. Customer, operational, IT, process) of the delivery across all areas is known, addressed and communicated using appropriate material and channels
·Prior experience working with, and/or coordinating the efforts of multiple parties (e.g. third parties or clients) on medium scale (ideally global) software implementation projects
·Leadership skills, delivery focus and gravitas to project positive energetic attitude and resolve disputes and challenges
·Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly-changing environment, working with complex projects and handling demanding customers
·Possess a high degree of project planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills
·MS Office skills including MS Project
·Ability to effectively articulate and present technical information and risks to non-technical users and business stakeholders
·Ability to build positive relationships with system users, key business stakeholders and IT teams
